M01/02

This is where it all started, kit No 58149 back in 1994, with the M01 Rover Mini Cooper. This particular kit is in our own private collection and is in completely original condition with the factory shrinkwrap still on it. Surprisingly enough these kits are still around on ebay and you can sometimes pick one up for under 200 USD. If you can find one at that price, snap it up immediately. They are a worthy addition to anyones collection.

Ole Number One...The beginning of a dynasty

Next Mini was 58163, the '94 Monte Carlo Mini. These are actually harder to find than the original 58149 kits but thankfully if you just want the rally look, then you can pick up a current model XB M03 which comes with latest incarnation of the bodyshell all painted and stickered ready to go. Dont however think that the later shells will fit on your old M01, it wont fit, the mounting holes are different. Still a brilliant kit to get hold of though.

Monte CarloFiat Abarth

In 1995 we got kit no 58158, the Fiat Abarth. This is a personal favourite at rc-mini, we all love this thing. Somehow it manages to look both cute AND tough, all at the same time! The shape of it is cool as, and with the 10pc injection moulded engine sitting inside the open boot lid it's just an awesome kit! Be warned though, this kit is very rare now, and prices are correspondingly higher... Ouch!
